How to make: a picture frame earing holder
This simple tutorial will only take you about 5-10 mins to make yourself a beautiful looking picture frame earing holder to show off your stunning earings.
Equipment needed:
Old picture frame
Lace
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Staple gun
Wire/string and frame hooks/rings
Step 1:
Take your old picture frame and decide how many strips of lace you want to put across the back. Make sure you equally space the strips and then either staple or hot glue them in place. I did both to make them extra secure.
I stapled first then folded over the edge of the lace and hot glued to cover the staples.
Step 2:
Think about the colours of your earings you'll be displaying and the backing material to make sure you compliment them with your lace. I added an extra strip of silky ribbon around the edge for a bit more flaire.
Step 3:
Once you've chosen, measured and cut your backing material staple it to the frame. Be sure to 'hem' it so it doesn't fray. I did this simply by folding over the edge and stapling it but if you want to neater then you can use a sewing machine maybe?
You don't have to use material, you could also use colourful paper, just make sure it's thick enough that it won't rip too easily. Then (if necessary) mark and nail/screw in your frame hooks and attach your string or wire and hang in pride of place on your wall.
